ArjunPanchariya.in | Official Statement
I, Arjun Panchariya Sindhu, am releasing my official statement today on the biggest issue in the education system that has affected the future of millions of students across the country. After listening to students’ problems for a long time, I realized that the current semester system and back system are no longer serving the purpose of education; instead, they are pushing students into mental, academic and career-related pressure. This is why I have tweeted to the Hon’ble Prime Minister demanding immediate reforms in this system and, if necessary, the need to ban semester system completely.
In recent years, I have received thousands of complaints from college students across the nation. They say that frequent examinations every few months keep them under constant stress and disturb the continuity of their studies. Many students get trapped in the back system due to delayed results, technical errors and marking mistakes, causing them to lose an entire academic year. Meanwhile, preparation for competitive exams, job opportunities and future planning are heavily affected. I have seen several students break down due to uncertainty about their future, and this situation cannot be accepted in any healthy and balanced education system. This is why I strongly felt that if I do not raise this issue at the national level, this injustice will continue endlessly. Therefore, I raised this concern publicly so that students can finally get a fair system and we can take strong steps to ban semester system where necessary.
Hon’ble @PMOIndia, the biggest issue students face today is the semester system and the back system. Frequent exams and delays are affecting their future. Kindly reform this for the benefit of all students. 🇮🇳#BanSemesterSystem@narendramodi

One student shared with me that despite working extremely hard throughout the semester, a technical error in the result put him into the back category and he was also barred from appearing in the next semester exam. Many such examples are reported daily, and after seeing all this, I realized that this issue is no longer just about complaints; it has now become a matter that demands serious educational reforms. Ignoring students’ voices is equal to compromising their future. This is why I have repeatedly said that it is important to reconsider this entire framework and, if required, ban semester system to protect students’ future.
In my statement, I made it clear that the semester system in its current form has completely failed. Frequent examinations, disorganized academic schedules, lack of transparency in marking and the pressure-filled back system have turned students’ energy away from learning and pushed them into stress and difficulty. This model has now become a burden rather than a tool for improving education quality. For this reason, I have requested the Hon’ble Prime Minister and concerned departments to bring major changes in this system and create a structure that ensures fair, convenient and quality education for all. If required, steps must be taken to ban semester system so that students can finally study without unnecessary pressure.
After my statement, a large number of students have started showing support through social media. Many students expressed that they had been wanting to raise this issue for years, and for the first time, someone has spoken strongly at the national level. Discussions related to this matter are now rapidly increasing on social media platforms, showing that students were waiting for this change for a very long time. The demand to ban semester system is being voiced more strongly than ever before.
I assure that my effort to take students’ voices forward will continue. This is not merely an issue of an education model; it is directly connected to the future, mental health and career direction of millions of youth. I will continue to share every activity, statement and progress related to this issue through my official website ArjunPanchariya.in.
This is a fight for students’ rights, and I stand firmly with them. The demand to ban semester system will continue until students receive a fair, transparent and student-friendly education system.
